Squad against squad, live
Most strategy games on a phone are you against a computer. Any War also lets you take on a real opponent: two players, one battlefield, both commanding at the same time.
How it works
Open Multiplayer from the home screen and Game Center finds you an opponent. One of you attacks with the Americans, the other defends with the Germans, each with infantry squads and tanks. You both give orders in real time, and you both hear the whole fight.
Why it plays differently
The computer opponent is predictable once you learn it. A person isn't. They flank, they bait, they hold their fire until you cross the open ground. Every order you have in a solo battle works the same way here: move, sneak, smoke, ambush, charge, call up the armor. The difference is who's on the other side of the hedge.
